Pokemon Go isn’t done quite yet. The newest update is adding a lot of new things, and there are still more to come. They’re even putting in a wider selection of clothing for players.
Pokemon Go already started heading into the Johto region with Pichu and Togepi, but now they’re heading in full throttle with more than 80 new Pokemon to catch. That list includes everyone’s favorite starters, Cyndaquil, Totodile, and Chikorita. They’re even going to add some gender differences into this update. There are also Pokemon that will only evolve with specific evolutionary stones that you can get from Pokestops.
Along with new Pokemon, Niantic is adding new clothes, evolutionary items, new accessories, and updated encounter gameplay. The new avatars and wardrobes will let you give your character a whole new look. They’ve added new hats, shirts, pants, and other items. The new berries are the pinap and nanab berries. Nanab berries will slow down a Pokemon’s movements making it easier to catch, while the pinap berry will give you double the candy if your next throw catches the Pokemon.
A lot of people who have been playing Pokemon Go know how Pokemon will react while they’re trying to catch them. Now, Niantic has changed that up and Pokemon will act and react in completely new ways. On top of that they’re adding new “item carousels” that will let you select berries and pokeballs without having to go into the menu.
Pokemon Go is still running strong, even if it doesn’t have as strong of a fanbase as it had when it first came out. They’re adding updates and events fairly frequently. This is the biggest update in a while, and with the introduction of Johto Pokemon, it might pull back some fans whose favorite Pokemon reside in the Johto region. What about you? Will this update be enough to bring you back to Pokemon Go, or did you never leave?
